The model was constructed by Elliott P. Smith of  Wilmington, Delaware and is currently displayed at the Maritime Museum in Georgetown, SC

Only known contemporary photograph of the Harvest Moon. Taken in August 1863 at a wharf in Portland Maine.  A similar photograph with grid lines drawn in by the marine artist Fitz Henry Lane is preserved at the Cape Ann Historical Association.
Painted mural in the "Harvest Moon " ice-cream parlor in Georgetown, SC. The painting was based on the above photograph.
Photograph of an oil painting of the Harvest Moon . The original portrait was painted in 1863 by the noted marine artist Fitz Henry Lane for the shipping firm of Spear, Lang and Delano. The present location of the original is unknown.  Steamship Historical Society of America photo
