My dear wife

I have been so very busy for a few days I have not had time to answer your letter and now I have only time to say a word. I am going to the rgt tomorrow, at Sharpsburg as I am now able so I can stand it for a few days any how. Capt Ira Wood is here and goes with us. I have not the least objection to you going to ___ff__berg if you think it will be of any service, don’t do too much cold bathing. In other words, _____ some ____ and ____ of your ____.
