My dear Doctor:

Captain Johnson has mentioned that you desire an appointment as Acting P___ Ast: Surgeon U.S. Navy. Should you desire to enter the service again in such a capacity if you will make an official application the probabilities are you will get the appointment as I have mentioned your name as an applicant.

The fact of your having been in the service does away with any professional examination. If you can, decide this at ___,
