This book is amazing. If you have ancestors who lived in Baltimore you should read it. To reach the limited pages available on Google books, click HERE. A new window will pop up showing you the book's text. You may have to allow this pop-up for your browser to bring it up.

Martin Tschudy's great grandson, Baltis H. Kennard (BJ's 2nd great grandfather) tells us that the First German Reformed Church in Baltimore was the church that Louisa Spies attended. She was Martin's grandaughter, so I think it plausible to assume that First Reformed was Martin's church as well. Louisa's mother, Martin's daughter, was married there.

Scharf's book tells of the several churches that were built to house the congregation during their times of worship and service to the Lord. Deciding to do so was not without some contention, and one of those who disagreed at one point was a Nicholas Tschudy. I'm not certain at this point if there was anything more than an incredibly distant relationship between Nicholas and our Martin.
