The Tombstone & Will of John Henry Lammot

Many thanks to Belva LaMotte for providing this picture and document for all of us who are researching this Lammot family. According to her, the stone below which is marked "H.L. 1803", is the tombstone of Johannes Heinrich Lammot. I read a piece on the internet which explained that in German naming traditions, a child is given a first, second and surname. The first name is said to be a family patron saint. Unlike our culture where the first name is usually the name the child is known by, it is the German middle name by which the child is addressed.
